In April, the SEC issued a concept release focused on reforming both the actual content of corporate disclosures as well as the manner these disclosures are presented and delivered. SEC Commissioner Kara M. Stein characterized it as a first step in a "dialogue on how to modernize and improve the Commission's disclosure framework."
